What is the gold purity?
Our pure gold jewelry (rings, necklaces, bracelets, and earrings) is crafted at 995 (99.5%), and dol rings at 999 (99.9%). Four nines (99.99%) is a standard reserved for gold bars and is not used in jewelry crafting.
Why are clasps crafted in 18K?
Pure gold is soft and malleable, causing clasps to loosen easily. For pieces with clasps, such as necklaces and bracelets, the clasp alone is crafted in 18K. Because 18K gold contains 75% gold, we add extra weight to compensate for the difference, ensuring the exact pure gold weight you ordered is contained in full. The pure gold content matches the ordered weight, while the total scale weight will measure slightly higher. Rings and earrings do not have clasps.
Can I wear the earrings if I have a metal allergy?
be:bel earrings have no additional ornamentation and are crafted from pure gold all the way through to the earring post, which helps prevent most allergic reactions. Silicone earring backs are included as standard.
How is pricing determined?
Prices are updated automatically in real time based on the prevailing gold price. Each piece is crafted based on the gold price at the time your order is confirmed.
What are the buyback terms?
No assay fees are deducted when reselling pieces purchased from be:bel. We offer top buyback rates for equivalent weights.
